About the event
Diwali is more than a festival of lights — it is a sacred tapestry woven from ancient stories, symbolic victories, and inner realizations. In this free class we explore the Ramayana and related traditions through the lens of yoga philosophy, uncovering the timeless wisdom behind the five days of Diwali and the figures who embody them.
Rooted in the values of bhakti (devotion), svadharma (personal duty), tapas (inner discipline), and shraddha (faith), this class offers a journey through myth, meaning, and spiritual practice.
🪔 Day 1 – Dhanteras: Honoring health, healing, and sacred abundance. We reflect on Ayurveda, purification, and the yogic relationship with wealth (artha) and well-being — laying the groundwork for inner and outer harmony.
🔥 Day 2 – Naraka Chaturdashi (Kali Chaudas):The triumph of light over inner darkness. We explore stories of Narakasura’s defeat, connecting it to the yogic process of burning impurities (tapas) and confronting the ego-shadow through spiritual discipline.
